Today, Dubai (UAE) is one of the most important trade hubs in the world. The city attracts a great number of businessmen, investors, and tourists. Over the last years the city has been growing with immense speed. New hotels, skyscrapers, commercial and residential houses are emerging all over its territory. And they are not just office buildings and small local hotels – the emirate’s authorities know how to make high-quality luxurious real estate. Many of Dubai development projects are good examples of combining ultramodern technologies and Eastern beauty.
One of the remarkable areas of the emirate is Dubai Sports City – the center of local sports life. The projects here include all kinds of schools and academies for children and youth teaching them football, cricket, swimming, rugby, etc. The area also has a number of venues capable of holding international level competitions. In addition to the sport venues there are a number of residential buildings. Among the most notable of them are The Diamond, The Bridge, The Matrix and The Spirit built by The First Group developer. Those are modern residential real estate where you can rent a highly comfortable apartment close to the sport venues, cafes, restaurants and shop in the district.
Another remarkable Dubai’s development project is Burj Khalifa skyscraper which has the title of the tallest man-made construction in the history of humanity. Its needle is 828 meters away from the ground and dominates the 163 floors of the building. The best way to characterize this skyscraper is to say ‘the highest’. It has the highest viewing deck in the world where you can observe Dubai from 555 meters height. You can also go to eat in the highest restaurant in the world – ‘The Atmosphere’ built on the 122th floor.
Burj Khalifa skyscraper is another city within Dubai so to speak. It has offices and residential floors, a hotel, gyms and swimming pools. It even has its own ‘traffic infrastructure’ – 57 elevators used by the residents and guests to travel in the building. But it is only the personnel elevator that goes straight from the 1st floor to the top. Other people have to ‘change elevators’. The skyscraper is so tall that it takes about three month to clean all the windows though the stuff does it every day. Truly, Burj Khalifa is a building of records.
And of course you can’t but mention such an awesome Dubai’s development project as The World – man-made archipelago consisting of 300 islands with total territory of 55km2. Originally the developers were going to make 7 islands – one for each continent. But the price was considered too high for potential buyers so the ‘continents’ were split into smaller islands. The average price for each island is about 38 million dollars.
This list of Dubai’s development projects is far from complete. The city’s territory is being actively overbuilt. Due to the large investments, the developers are able to develop most amazing and colossal projects which make Dubai the jewel of the Middle East.
